3) 3) This website can be useful to teachers because it gives the teacher access to potentially thousands of links within their content area for searching in their particular subject area. They can also see what other teachers are using that are effective for them and get ideas that way as well! The Students likewise can have access to tons of different websites to help them with their studies or even just for fun with whatever content area they want.
Remote access questions:
1) 1) Mr. Fisher is amazing when It comes to using technology in the classroom. He uses pod-cast / blogs / moodle / skype and various other useful technologies
2) 2) First I want to ask him what grade he teaches. Then, I would like to ask him what exactly the kids were trying to accomplish by talking with the other kids in LA. I didn’t really understand the point of that particular project. Finally, I would like to ask how often he incorporates pod-casts and other technologies into his teaching.
3) 3) I like the fact that his blog is very easy to follow and you can tell that he is being himself. He isn’t goofy or anything but he is talking about what he likes to do so really gives it a journal feel that isn’t too personal so everyone can read.
Blog of Proximal development questions:
1) 1) One of the main ways that Mr. Glogowski uses technology in his classroom is the use of an online community for his students using the blog.
2) 2) Some things that I would like to ask him is how much participation did the blogs get? In other words, how often were students posting or were assignments given to “make” them post. Finally, were they graded based on what they did with the blog community?
3) 3) I liked his blog because it was very informative. You could tell he definitely put a lot of time into it so it wasn’t just a bunch of posts about whatever but that they were well thought out and educated statements.
1) 1) Aggregators are programs that gather your favorite blogs and present them in one, basic text format for quick review. Only those blogs that have RSS feeds can be read by an aggregator. Those blogs usually have a little orange XML graphic ( ) which links to the RSS feed. That is the URL you would input to the aggregator.
2) 2) So you can see all your favorite blogs in one format so you can review them quickly.
